Touted as one the most exciting places to spend winter vacations, Park City, Utah is so much more than that. Flooded with 185,000 people during peak season, celebrities and media persons alike reserve their days to attend the annual Sundance Film Festival held at Park City in all their pomp. One of the notable things about this location is its dynamism owing to its ability to stay open all year round. As a consequence, the excruciating wait for the prime season is negated.

Apart from experiencing Utah’s greatest snow on earth, Park City is known for its history and age-old cultures. The famed historic main street is a testament to Park City’s roots as it is a one-of-a-kind market that showcases its mining heritage with an abundance of pubs and bars. Peppered amongst the pubs and bars are sophisticated restaurants, theatres, and galleries which also makes it one of the popular spots for experiencing the nightlife.

Park City is located in an ideal location as it is a 35-minute drive from the Salt Lake City International Airport. Moreover, there is no one specific way to commute within the city, as multiple modes of transport such as Uber, rental cars, and hotel transportation are reliable and used regularly. As far as accommodations in the city go, Waldorf Astoria situated in the Wasatch Mountains takes the cake.

A Luxury World Traveller favorite, this high-end luxury accommodation is a part of the largest ski resort in the United States and features antiques brought in from all over the globe. Some antiques worth mentioning are the 150-year-old Stags framing the lobby fireplace, and the Swarovski crystals adorning the chandeliers along with a fireplace mantel from Europe. Moreover, Waldorf Astoria offers tailor-made experiences for their guests with the mantle of the Best Ski Hotel by World Ski Awards as testament.

Endowed with world-class dining experiences, Powder in Waldorf Astoria ties with River Horse on Main Street as a Luxury World Traveller preferred. Furthermore, due to the city’s all-inclusive character, several vegan spots opened up to cater to all diets. Twisted Fern located in Snow Creek has made its name in honoring fresh vegan produce in creative ways, and again, is a Luxury World Traveller recommended.

As for nocturnal festivities, true to its mining heritage, the High West Distillery provides authentic experiences using traditional methods for crafting spirits. Tours of the working facilities, as well as dining experiences, are offered by the distillery.

Since the Park City ski resort and Canyons ski resort combined in 2014 to create the largest ski resort in the US, several new activities have been introduced. Some of them are tubing at Woodward Park City and the Utah Olympic Park bobsled ride called "The Comet". Other activities greatly enjoyed by the team and facilitated by the resort were skiing, snowboarding, ATV, horseback riding, hiking, climbing, backcountry skiing, boating, and swimming in summers.

Lastly, there are a whopping 400 miles of maintained trails for mountain biking and hiking.

Although a highly commercialized destination, Park city has its hidden gems under all the glitz and pomp which appeal to all categories of people. The city offers custom-made experiences for all types of travelers. This is why both solo travelers and those traveling in groups or with family have an array of activities to choose from according to their preference. With new things to discover and experience every day just one trip does not suffice. Such is the charm of the city and its greatest snow on earth.
