Nestled in a secluded bay along the magnificent southern Aegean coast, the luxurious Six Senses Kaplankaya offers the ultimate private retreat. This state-of-the-art resort is custom-made for a high degree of personal comfort, exceptional service, and the chance to indulge in a relaxing wellness break away from the hustle-bustle of the city. This Mediterranean gem opened in 2018 and is the perfect healthy holiday destination for both adults and children looking to relax and rejuvenate underneath the Turkish sun. The resort is characterized by a Mediterranean village atmosphere with pathways meandering throughout the villas and residences.
The hotel boasts an effortless combination of contemporary architecture and high-tech comforts designed by the New York-based design house Clodagh design. These designs are based on the motto that good design supports well-being and is capable of sustainable living and development. Thus, Kaplankaya is an eco-friendly hotel influenced by traditional Turkish architecture that exudes a minimalist yet warm and inviting ambiance. Such a style is continued throughout the decor where natural materials are employed to complement the raw aesthetics of the surrounding landscape. The surroundings of the private estate area comprise rocky terrain, gorgeous olive groves, and turquoise-blue waters which give way to a lantern-lit pathway.
Much like the surroundings, the suites within the resort are designed to blend in with nature by the installation of floor-to-ceiling windows, causing natural light to flood and providing an unrestricted view of the sea and the natural landscape. Moreover, Six Senses’ Fitness Centre, much like the spa, has state-of-the-art facilities and provides routines such as Vinyasa yoga, Pilates Reformer, TRX training, tennis, Tabata, Spinning, meditation, and Latino Zumba. In addition, the water sports at Kaplankaya include sailing, canoeing, paddleboarding, and snorkeling as well.
Dining at Kaplankaya is a wonderful and luxurious experience. The three restaurants offer exquisite menus which combine fresh Mediterranean-inspired dishes with traditional Turkish cuisine. One of the hotspots at the accommodation is Wild Thyme where guests can indulge in a leisurely lunch facing the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean Sea. Furthermore, Mezze by the Sea offers freshly caught seafood accompanied by the eclectic flavors of Turkish mezze.
