OUR REVIEW

Arriving to the historic Jefferson Hotel in the heart of Richmond is a true luxury. Built in the late 1800’s, this hotel has a certain vibe that makes you want to know more about its history and evolution. Walking into the opulent lobby, we were instantly greeted by hotel staff and checked in quick and seamless. We were then taken to our Grand Premier Room.

The room was absolutely lovely, equipped with two comfy queen beds, a walk-in closet, and ultra luxurious bathroom. The hotel even provided us with a guest basket full of goodies and treats, what a nice touch! The bathroom was very large, and had a walk in shower and a soaker tub. Also, the marble touches to the bathroom added an amazing level of comfort and luxury.

Nothing was too much to ask from the concierge. We called down for a steamer and they instantly brought it up. Later that evening, we asked for bath salts and they brought up a whole bag full. The service of this hotel made the stay that much more enjoyable.

We were able to enjoy a beautiful brunch at the Lemaire Restaurant in the hotel. The grand ballroom was filled with chandeliers and beautiful tapestry. The food was excellent and the service was even better.

If you ever find yourself in the historic city of Richmond, our team definitely recommends you book a stay at the Jefferson!

POOL

The indoor swimming pool is a welcome oasis for relaxing, completing a work-out or splashing with the kids.  Lined by palms and comfortable wicker furniture, it is a comfortable place to enjoy a good book and a cool beverage.  An outdoor sundeck adjacent to the pool is available for sun seekers.  

Light snacks, healthy lunches or drinks and appetizers can be enjoyed pool side or on the deck through room service. 

Convenient locker rooms are also available and plenty of luxurious bath sheets are on hand.  Located on the first floor of guest rooms, swimmers can easily get to the pool without having to enter the hotel’s public spaces.  

FITNESS FACILITY

Whether you prefer cardiovascular exercise equipment, weight training machinery or free weights, there is a wide selection of the most up-to-date equipment, including two new Peloton exercise bikes and a WaterRower rowing machine, at your disposal in this 3,000 square foot facility. Use of the facility is complimentary to all guests and includes access to our indoor pool and sun deck – located on the first floor of the hotel.

MASSAGE

Therapeutic, specialty and Swedish massage treatments are available in our calming on-site treatment rooms or in the comfort of your guestroom.

BICYCLES

Guests of The Jefferson can enjoy all the sites of downtown on one of the hotel's six bicycles. These classic Dutch bikes by Linus have an upright posture and a step through design which make them a comfortable ride for all cyclists. Helmets, combination locks and baskets are also available at no charge.  

The bikes and equipment can be checked out through the Concierge on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests can borrow the bikes for three-hours at a time.

SPECIALTY SUITE

JEFFERSON SUITE

The Jefferson Suite is the hotel’s largest and grandest suite at just over 1,400-square-feet. The original woodworking and ornate fireplace mantels have been carefully preserved to maintain the historic charm of this iconic space. The suite features a master bedroom with a king size bed, large screen television, an adjoining dressing area and a beautiful marbled master bath. The parlor of the suite includes a grand piano, comfortable living room seating around the fireplace and flat screen television and French doors leading onto the beautiful marbled balcony overlooking picturesque Franklin Street. A second living area includes seating area with a sleeper sofa and a dining room table for six. The suite also includes a kitchen with full size refrigerator, microwave and wet bar, along with half-bath for your guests. A connecting Premier King room is available at an additional charge. (Please note that all fireplaces within the suite are not operational.)
